Mindfulness can help you become more aware of the present moment. This technique integrates the mind-body approach that can help people manage their thoughts and feelings and can help us begin to understand ourselves better and enjoy the world around us more.

Mindfulness is recommended by NICE as a treatment for people with mental ill health and supports those who want to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The evidence strongly supports Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which can help people cope with stress, whilst Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), can support people with recurring depression. Both these techniques provide a flexible set of skills, which can help support and manage mental health and wellbeing.
